Gift giving for the craft beer fan in your life can be a bit stressful. What do you get them other than beer? Should you even buy them beer – what if they don't like what you've picked out? Well, in the upcoming weeks leading up to Christmas Ottawa Beer Events will be featuring some must-have gifts for the beer-lover on your list!
It's not a coincidence that you can use the term "cracking open" for both books and beer – they go well together! Some beer are even named after literary finds like the new Game of Thrones series of brews by Ommegang for example.
We've compiled a list of what we think are some great books to help craft beer enthusiasts discover and enjoy beer – whether you want to learn more about beer in general, the brewing process or how to cook some great dishes with beer – there's a book out there for you!
Got beer? This comprehensive, fully illustrated volume on beer by two of the world's leading authorities is more than just an in-depth history of this delightful beverage–its origins, brewing methods and technologies, trends, and more–from ancient times until the present day. It is also a detailed overview of more than 500 of the greatest beers from around the world, with sections devoted to major beer-producing countries and regions, including information on craft brewing, emerging markets, extreme beers, future-trend forecasts, and more.
